Chapter 3 Award BIOS Setup
3.3 Standard CMOS Setup
Choose the “Standard CMOS Features” option from the “Initial Setup Screen” menu,
and the screen below will be displayed. This menu allows users to configure system
components such as date, time, hard disk drive, video, Halt On, display, and memory.

Date
The date format is <Weekday>, <Month>, <Day>, <Year>.
Time
The time format is in <hours> : <minutes> : <seconds>, based on 24-hour time.
IDE Primary Master/Slave
IDE HDD Auto-Detection. Press "Enter" for automatic device detection.
Halt on
The item determines whether the computer will stop if an error is detected dur-
ing power up.
Base Memory
The BIOS POST displays the amount of base (or conventional) memory
installed in the system.
Extended Memory
The BIOS POST displays the amount of extended memory (above 1 MB in the
CPU’s memory address map) installed in the system.
Total Memory
This item displays the total system memory size.
No Errors The system boot will not stop for any error.
All Errors Whenever the BIOS detects a non-fatal error the system
will be stopped.
All, But Keyboard The system boot will not stop for a keyboard error; it will
stop for all other errors. (Default value)
